AutoHax Service Fee, Payment Terms, and Refund Policy

Service Fee

The AutoHax service fee is a flat $799 (discounted from $1,000). To get started, a $99 refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance of $700 is due when we find your deal. No success fees, no surprise charges down the road.

All fees are in USD and don't include applicable taxes.


Nature of the Fee

Your $799 pays for our team's work - not a guaranteed result. We handle vehicle sourcing, negotiation, and advisory services. We don't sell cars ourselves.

That said, we can't guarantee specific savings, vehicle availability, financing approval, or that a purchase will go through. What we can guarantee is that our team puts in the work.


Payment Timing

A $99 refundable deposit is due upfront to begin. Once the deposit is confirmed, we get to work right away. The remaining $700 is due when we present your deal.


Client Acknowledgment

By paying, you're agreeing that:

  • AutoHax provides sourcing, negotiation, and advisory services - we don't sell vehicles directly.
  • The fee covers our time, research, dealer outreach, negotiation, and consulting work.
  • The fee isn't tied to whether you end up buying or leasing a vehicle.
  • We can't guarantee specific savings, vehicle availability, or dealer participation.

Once we start, work begins immediately - research, dealer contact, negotiation prep.


Refund Eligibility

If we don't present at least one deal that matches what you told us you're looking for within 60 days, you get a full refund.

We'll confirm your must-haves upfront so there's no confusion about what counts as a match. A "presented deal" means real pricing from a real dealer - not a guess.


No Other Refunds

Outside of the situation above, the fee is non-refundable.


Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never see or store your card information.


Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

We ask that you don't file a chargeback or payment dispute unless your payment method was used without your permission. If a chargeback is filed outside of fraud, it voids any refund eligibility and is considered a breach of these terms.


Service Period

We work on your deal for 60 days starting from when we receive both your payment and your initial vehicle preferences.


Performance Guarantee

If we don't present at least one qualified deal during your 60-day service period, you get a full refund. That's our guarantee.

A "qualified deal" is one that matches the must-haves you lock in with us at the start:

  • Make and model (exact match)
  • Model year range (within your agreed range)
  • Mileage (within your agreed max)
  • Condition (clean title, no major accidents unless you've approved it)

Things like color, minor options, or location won't disqualify a deal unless you told us upfront those are must-haves too.

We consider our job done when we bring you at least one deal that checks all your boxes within the 60 days.


Cancellations by You

You can cancel anytime by emailing sales@autohax.com with at least 14 days notice.


Effect of Cancellation Notice

After you cancel, we may still finish up any deals already in progress during the 14-day notice window.


Refund Eligibility Upon Cancellation

If you cancel before we've started dealer outreach, you get a full refund minus any admin costs we've already spent.

If you cancel after dealer outreach has started, the fee is non-refundable - the work is already in motion.


Refund Processing

Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 business days.


Relationship to Performance Guarantee

If there's ever a conflict between the cancellation refund terms and the performance guarantee, the performance guarantee wins.


SMS & Text Messaging

By providing your phone number and submitting our intake form, you consent to receive text messages (SMS and MMS) from AutoHax at the phone number you provided. These messages may include:

  • Appointment reminders and scheduling confirmations
  • Updates on your vehicle search and deal progress
  • Follow-up communications related to your consultation
  • Promotional messages about AutoHax services and special offers

Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 10 messages per month depending on your deal status.

Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opt-out: You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. Opting out of texts does not cancel your AutoHax service or affect your deal.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service from AutoHax. You may still use our services without opting in to text messages by contacting us via email.

Supported carriers:Major US carriers are supported including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Age restriction: You must be at least 18 years old to use AutoHax services and to consent to receiving text messages. By providing your phone number, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

Digital Agreement and Authorization

By paying through our site, you're confirming that:

  • You've read and agree to these terms.
  • You're giving us the green light to start working immediately.
  • You understand this is a payment for professional services, not a product purchase.

This counts as a legally binding agreement, same as a signed contract.


Acknowledgment

By completing payment, you're confirming you've read and agree to everything above.
